STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

WON’T IGNITE

If an electric stove will not ignite, first ensure the stove is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the appliance is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, it means some other part will need to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not produce heat will not do much. An oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner does not heat if an element is broken or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and repair these issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

It’s reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer settings don’t work. If that’s the case, we are able to repair control boards on LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on control panels and the replacement parts we need for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen can diagnose the location of the problem and then fix it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter will glow but it won’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door won’t open up and then complete the repair in order to put an end to the problem.
